OPEN HEAVENS FOR TEENS DATE: FRIDAY 17TH OF MAY, 2024THEME: NOTHING WITHOUT HIM
MEMORISE: Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God: 2 Corinthians 3:5
READ: Proverbs 3:5-6[5]Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.[6]In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
MESSAGE Many times, when you listen to the testimonies of some people, you will hear them glorifying themselves. They take the shine away from God and give all the credit to their efforts. In Philippians 3:3-7, Paul listed his status and achievements. However, he added in verse 7: *"But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ."* Today's Bible reading says: *"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and He shall direct thy paths."*Beloved, if you want to experience God's goodness, then you must not lean on your own understanding. You must accept that you cannot do anything without Him. You must get to the point where you can say that it is in Him you live, move and have your being (Acts 17:28). You must always remember the words of Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 3:5: *"Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God."*
PRAYER POINTWithout God, you are nothing.
